This Privacy Policy describes how policyselections.com handles your personal information and other data we collect when you use our website or services.
What is personal information?
Personal information is data that can reasonably identify you, either alone or together with other information. We may collect information about you in different ways depending on how you interact with us, our website, and our products and services. What we collect, use, disclose, or sell depends on your relationship or interaction with us.
Personal information we collect online
How we collect it
We gather personal information from several sources: directly from you when you use certain parts of our website and submit request forms or other information; automatically via cookies, server logs, and similar technologies when you use our sites; and from affiliates, business partners, service providers, other third parties, or public sources.
When you use contact or request forms on our site we may collect some or all of: your email, full name, phone number, information about your healthcare goals, health-related information (including Medicare status and eligibility for insurance plans), and any other information requested on the form. When you submit, we may share this information with one or more partners, and you may be contacted by us or our partners about your request. If we contact you by phone, we may ask for additional details such as date of birth, mailing address, and other information relevant to your request.
When you visit our website we may collect information about you and your device, such as browser type (e.g., Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer), IP address, operating system (e.g., Windows or iOS), and internet service provider. We use this to improve our site and personalize your experience, and in aggregate to analyze how our site is used.
We may use cookies or similar technology for advertising and to link data across devices. When you visit our site we may place cookies or similar files that assign an anonymous identifier to your device. Cookies store non-personally identifiable data and help us improve the site, store preferences, and understand usage (e.g., pages viewed and time spent). We do not currently honor Do Not Track signals from your browser.
How we use personal information
We use the information you provide to personalize your experience, deliver services, and respond to your inquiries.
We also use it for customer service, to send requested information, to customize your experience, and to contact you when needed in connection with your use of the site. We may use it for internal purposes such as analyzing and managing our offerings. We may combine it with information from other sources.
We may transfer or sell aggregate or group data (demographics, usage, and similar characteristics without personally identifying you) for lawful purposes. Where we keep personal information in deidentified form, we will not try to reidentify it except as needed to assess whether our deidentification meets legal requirements.
When we disclose personal information
Besides the situations described elsewhere in this policy, we may disclose personal information as follows:
Affiliates and acquisitions. We may share with corporate affiliates (e.g., parent, sister companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or others under common control). If another company acquires or plans to acquire our company, business, or assets, we may share information with them, including during negotiations.
Legal and other purposes. We may disclose in response to subpoenas, warrants, court orders, or other legal process, or to comply with law. We may also share to establish or exercise our rights, defend against claims, investigate or address possible illegal activity, fraud, or safety issues, or to fulfill your request for shipment or services through a third party.
Public content. Some areas of our sites may let you post comments or reviews in a public forum. Information you post there may be public. For example, if we offer registries or similar features, information you provide (e.g., name, date, location) may be shared so others can find it.
Promotions with partners. We may run contests, sweepstakes, or promotions with third-party partners. If you enter, the information you provide may be shared with us and with them; their use is not covered by this policy.
Service providers. We may share with service providers who help us run our website, conduct surveys, provide support, process payments, or fulfill orders.
With your consent. We may disclose to other third parties when you consent or direct us to do so.
External parties
This policy describes only our own practices and does not cover third-party services we do not own or control. Some affiliates may have their own privacy statements.
We are not responsible for the practices of third parties whose sites or services we link to. A link does not mean we or our affiliates endorse that site or service. When you leave our site or use a third-party feature, review that party's privacy policy and terms.
We are also not responsible for the practices of other organizations (e.g., Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Bing, or other app or platform providers, device manufacturers, or carriers). That includes personal information you give directly to them or allow them to access through your device or browser settings.
We collect and use this information to process transactions, comply with law, run our business, and provide services. We do not use it for purposes outside those identified under the California Privacy Rights Act Section 1798.121. We do not "sell" or "share" sensitive personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Third-party websites
Our site may link to sites owned or operated by third parties, including partners we work with. You may be able to make purchases or complete transactions on those sites, which may require you to provide information (e.g., payment details). If you use those sites, review their privacy and data practices. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
